Collab was an experimental Facebook app for making collaborative music videos. So my job was thinking of ways to improve interaction between users within the app.

Collab was a fun way to bring friends together around music, but the only way users could interact within the app was through comments on a specific “collab”.

So besides allowing users to create collabs with more than just the regular three clips, why not integrate Collab with the Messages app or add a Chat option?

Also, Collab’s profile page had two tabs: Collabs and Clips. The Collabs tab showed the compositions that users could remix, and the Clips tab showed the single clips created to be used in those compositions. However, users still couldn’t interact with them.

What if we use the clips to make the app more interactive? That way users could add other user’s clips or invite them to add clips to their collabs.
